How are some rich people able to keep tigers as private pets?

and never get attacked or injured by the beast. That is strange. For example about 4,000 tigers in Texas are kept as pets. So this proves tiger can be kept as pet and you're still safe. Right?

Not exactly. People do get attacked, it's just under-reported. There have been stories in the news here and there over the years, the ones that stick out in my mind are people who try to keep cougars as pets...usually doesn't end well. You're never 100% safe with a wild animal or even a domesticated one; they are still animals after all.

No, it doesn't prove that. Is there also a report on how many deaths or injuries that both people and these "pets" suffer from? It just proves that Texas has very leanient laws regarding keeping wildlife.

You can have any animal as a pet but the question is should you? most of these peole that own a tiger know what it needs to stay healthy or they hire trainers to work with the animals who knows.

they are never safe to be around, any large cat handler will tell you that. Meaning things can be good one minute then they can turn nasty the next so you have to be watchfull all the time. most of these tigers have been declawed to reduce harm when they swat at you. even in a playful manner they have enough power in their paws to do some damage to your skin.
you can take a class on taking care of exotic animals, and get a permit to keep them on your property. most of the time it is not the rich person taking care of the animal, it is usually hired help that gets very good insurance and a great amount of hush-money if something goes wrong.
ok...

1. a tiger is not a "beast"

2. where ever u heard that..it's not true

3. they're not "pets".....they are being held in big cat shelters

4. it's ILLEAGLE....yes....even for rich people
