If I'm not mistaken, I believe that yes your pet can board the plane with you and accompany you on your flight, however, I do believe that they are kept in a particular area of the plane that is meant especially for passengers pets. They can not actually be with you where you have to sit inside the plane. They are kept in a kennel the entire flight in an underneath compartment, (similar to your luggage), until you land and can retrieve them.

Be careful though because I've heard that some air-plane companies are not careful about keeping the proper temperature adjusted for the needs of your pets, and on occasion someone has had their pet die during a flight due to unsafe conditions. So, make sure you look into it before taking a pet along.

Yes. Not just dog owners.

i wouldnt think it
yes it's OK. Pets are usually kept separate from other passengers so allergies shouldn't act up.

If your pet doesn't normally travel well, go to the vet's the morning of the trip for a sedative shot, so your pet is calmer during the journey.
Depends on the airplane, the pilot, and the size of the pet. If the pets carrier fits under the seat they will usually let you bring it on as a carry on.
each airline has rules and regulations regarding pet travel. check with the airline you want to travel with and they will give you the information you need as to how to package your pet/s for travel. Allergies aren't usually a problem because usually pets aren't with passengers (seeing eye dogs would be different)
Oh it's perfectly all right. Your dog is required to wiegh less then 9 or 8 Kilos (The dog and bag included). You obivously need a certificate saying the dog is in good health, and if your dog is a puppy then you are not allowed to give it any medacine that will cause it to go to sleep for a while. But a good thing to give a dog is 'Rescue' this helps calm the dog down.

On the flight you MAY be able to travel with the dog on your lap, but I won't suggest it only because some hostess can get seriously pissed. (I have experince) As always, don't feed the dog anything within 24 hours before the flight. (You may feed he/her food during the flight, like bits of bread). Bring a small plastic container that can be easily filled with water, any hostess should be happy to do that for the dog.

Hope this didn't go overboard! =D
as long as you have a passport for them it should be OK. But remember the dog may not be very well treated as it will be placed near the luggage and suitcases.
I took my cat on board with me twice, you actually pay for a ticket for them it's about $250 usually...

*when you make the reservation it has to be 30 days or less before the flight and there cannot be any more than 3 animals on board the flight

*The carrier has to be airline approved (both soft and hard ones), fit under your seat, and the animal has t obe able to do a 360 in it comfortably, they are not supposed to have any food either (in case the throw up) but they can have water)

*You also have to have a health certificate within 10 days of flying to show them when you check in

*also check on any quarenty laws in different states

My dog was to big to fly with me but it's actually more safe for them to go on a flight by themselves if they have to go below because then they go on a special cargo plane that it temperature controlled unlike a cargo compartment on a passenger plan

The airlines don't worry about peoples allergies. I didn't ever take her out of the carrier the whole flight but I've heard some people do that....
Maybe the question should be , is it ok for pets to bring their owners on a plane.

I have sat next toi annoying people on long flightd.

I would much rather site next to a fluffy kitten or lil dog.
Yes, and No. This is dependent on the airline and their policies but most will allow small (under 10lbs) pets in approved carriers. This is not limited to normal cats and dogs either - but again, prior approval, vet health/vaccination certificates and a host of other requirements generally need to be met first.

Then there are assistance animals, such as seeing eye dogs. They absolutely would be in the cabin with their partner.
yes it is

one my dog is a Maltese..and does not shed or have dander..no allergy problem

and my other pet..well she just sits there and holds my Maltese for me...

smile

good luck

and God Bless
